The 2012 Election: Do You See The Importance Now?
The 2012 Elections May Be The Most Important In 100 Years!
Why? EVERYTHING Is At Stake!
As demonstrated by the recent Supreme Court ruling on Obamacare, there are NO LONGER any limits on government!Obamacare has now been shown to be the largest tax increase in modern history.
This is despite the FACT that it was approved on the basis that it was NOT a tax. In fact, Democratic Senators – after the Supreme Court ruling in favor of the individual mandate – have said that if the bill was presented as a tax increase when it was first considered not even 10 Senators would have voted for it!
The Supreme Court also failed to strike down this tax despite the Constitutional requirement that ALL taxation laws originate in the House of Representatives. If you remember, this bill did not only NOT originate in the House, the House never even had the opportunity to vote on it. It was rammed into law by the Senate on a convoluted rationale called “reconciliation” which “deemed” that the HOuse approved the Senate version of the law without a vote!
Doesn’t that sound more like how governments are run in Russia, Venezuela, or Cuba?
The Supreme Court ruling also underlines just how screwed up the Judicial Branch has become.
Doesn’t it seem that the rule of law – the U.S. Constitution – should be understood by legal scholars within a narrow range? How is it possible that nine justices can have such varied interpretations of the SAME laws?
The answer is that they are ALL trying to bend the Constitution to make it say whatever matches their ideology. Some justices lean liberal and some lean conservative, and some (Kennedy and Roberts) don’t seem to have any anchor at all!
Almost every decision in recent history has been a 5 to 4 decision. Not only does this mean that FIVE people control the laws of the land, it also means that ONE person has the power to completely reverse the meaning of laws. In some cases , these rulings result in a mirror image of the laws, a true 180 degree shift.
In addition, now that the precedent has been established that the Supreme Court can rewrite laws – not just rule on their constitutionality – we have embarked on a new era in ideology dictating the course of our lives. It was bad enough when a few hundred Congressmen or 51 Senators could impose their rule over 300 million Americans. Now we have FIVE Supreme Court justices that have assumed this power.
The next President may appoint as many as three Supreme Court justices!
Think of all the rulings in the past few years that were decided by ONLY one justice:
1. Bush versus Gore election.
2. The overturning of the DC gun ban.
3. The overturning of the Chicago gun ban.
4. The overturning of the Arizona immigration law.
5. The upholding of the individual mandate in Obamacare.
Plus almost every decision in the past 10 years!!!
First of all, a change in the balance of power within the Senate would have negated many of these cases. The laws would never have been passed!
In regards to gun laws, the next election will be a turning point.
- If Obama is re-elected, you can expect him to push for radical restrictions to gun rights.
- The mold has been cast. If the radical liberals in the Senate “reconcile” gun laws into existence, there is little chance the Supreme Court will overturn them.
_ If Obama is re-elected and appoints even ONE liberal justice to replace a conservative, you can watch as lawsuits will be advanced to challenge established laws. A liberal court will rule against gun rights EVERY time.
Justice Sotomayor has ALREADY joined Breyer in stating, “I can find nothing in the second Amendment’s text, history, or underlying rationale that could warrant characterizing it as ‘fundamental’ insofar as it seeks to protect the keeping and bearing of arms for private self-defense purposes.”
Justice Stevens wrote, “The Framers did not write the Second Amendment in order to protect a private right of self-defense…By it terms, the Second Amendment does not apply to the States: read properly, it does not even apply to individuals outside the militia context.”
Justice Ginsberg added, in regards to the Court affirming the individual right to own firearms in the DC and Chicago cases, that the ruling was “grievously mistaken.” She added that the minority, opposing opinion would ultimately (as soon as the mix was changed) be used to rewrite history, making the Second Amendment a “collective right connected (only) to the militia.”
The elections of 2012 will have consequences for generations.
The 2012 election is about WAY more than Obama versus Romney! The margin of one or two Congressmen or Senators will change history in terms of our individual rights, how we are taxed, and ultimately what the country our grand children will live will look like!
